One commissioner proposed adding $70,000 to the current $80,000 balance; the motion passed. Staff said they will revisit the reserve level in the next budget cycle as retirement eligibility changes.
The allocation is intended to reduce the risk of needing an emergency meeting or one‑time transfer should several long‑tenured employees retire simultaneously.
