Poudre River Power Authority hearing continued; applicant requests new date
Summary
County Attorney’s Office and staff said the PRPA hearing was continued and the applicant has requested more time; the board must call up the item on March 20 as previously noticed and staff provisionally proposed April 21 for the next hearing.
Frank Haug of the Larimer County Attorney’s Office told commissioners on March 17 that the Poudre River Power Authority (PRPA) hearing that began the prior week was continued to March 24, and that the applicant has since requested an additional continuance.
Haug said staff is coordinating schedules and that April 21 is currently being considered for the next hearing date, but because the public was previously notified that the matter would be called up on March 20, the item still must be called at the March 20 meeting and then continued on the record to the newly scheduled date.
Haug advised commissioners that handling public comments sent after the formal comment period will be a staff and chair decision, and suggested that commissioners forward additional correspondence to planning staff (Jenny Oxmaker or Cassidy) for management. The county plans to issue a simple press notice of the date change because the matter has received press coverage.
No board action was taken during the work session; the item remains pending.
