Lynn Clemons, president of the Westwood Village Homeowners Association, told the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners on March 25 she is concerned about a GPA application and associated land-disturbance plans for property at or near 5950 McIntyre, saying the proposal could harm nearby residents through dust and vehicle access issues.
“Trucks traversing the property adjacent to my community…There is no road. The road is gone,” Clemons told the commission, saying she had written to county planner Ross Clough on March 13 but had not received a response. She said the plan documents reference a “road” that is currently dirt and weeds and expressed concern about dust and construction traffic affecting her community.
Clemons also raised questions about sightlines and traffic control: “There is no vision triangle that has been established,” she said, citing the traffic management manual requirement for a vision triangle at the intersection near Sixtieth. She said that the grading, erosion and sediment control plans discuss dust mitigation and easements but that the materials provided to the HOA omit a structure on adjacent land that falls within 50 feet of the site boundary.
“My building which is 32 feet from my property,” Clemons said, asking where adjacent improvements — buildings, wells, pipelines and utilities within 50 feet — were shown in the submittal. She said the documents did not show a utility easement along the shared boundary and that projected dates of operation were not listed in the materials she reviewed.
The clerk offered to collect her written comments and a map showing the proximity of the development to her building for staff follow-up. The public comment period closed with no other in-room or virtual speakers signed up for the opening public-comment slot.
Clemons identified herself in the record as Lynn Clemons, 6202 Kilmer Loop, unit 102, president of Westwood Village HOA and adjacent neighbor to 5950 McIntyre.
