At its Jan. 6, 2025, special meeting the West Linn City Council elected Councilor Mary Baumgartner to continue as council president for the coming year.
A councilor moved to nominate Baumgartner and another councilor seconded. Baumgartner accepted the nomination, and the motion passed on a roll call vote. The council also approved the meeting agenda and approved the consent agenda, which included the December 2024 meeting minutes and the Arts and Culture Commission’s process and recommendations for acquiring public art under the percentage‑for‑the‑arts program.
Council comments at the time of the vote welcomed the continuity of leadership and noted the council’s recently completed goal‑setting session.
