The board voted to move a deed of conveyance involving two tax-sale parcels in Braceville Township to the Full Board for final action.
Kaye (Trustee) told the board the parcels were purchased by the county trustee at tax sales (2018 and 2023) after no other bidders purchased the parcels. She said the lots are vacant, each just under a quarter-acre, and are on Railroad Street in Braceville Township. The deed would transfer the property into the purchaser's name and help the county clean up records. The board approved moving the item to Full Board on a motion by Eric Rasmussen, seconded by Anne Gill; the chair announced "the ayes have it." No roll-call vote or tally of individual votes was recorded in the transcript.
During routine business the board also approved the minutes from the March 24 meeting (motion by Deb, second by Eric Rasmussen) and approved claims (motion by Jerry, second by Tina). Treasurer's claims were being finalized earlier in the meeting and later were approved on a motion by Jerry, second by Tina. The board made a final motion to adjourn by Jerry, second by Tina; the chair announced approval.
No further debate or substantive conditions were recorded for the deed item at this meeting; the conveyance will return to the Full Board for final approval.
