St. Vrain Superintendent announces retirement at end of school year

On behalf of the board, President Ragland addressed the meeting with a prepared statement that credited Dr. Haddad with stabilizing and expanding the district, citing grant awards and financial oversight. The board statement said his leadership helped the district secure competitive grants “totaling over $75,000,000” and guided it through events including a flood, recession and the pandemic.
There was no board action at the meeting on succession or a transition plan; board members and district leaders said they would address next steps in subsequent meetings.
Board and staff reactions were uniformly supportive in the public remarks at the meeting. Dr. Haddad said he will continue to support the district as he is able after his retirement.
