The Public Works committee approved a staff recommendation to execute a quitclaim deed for an abandoned segment of Lewis Rash Road to the adjoining property owner.
Staff explained the county maintained and paved the road around February 2001 and later improved the geometry with a realigned footprint. The request before the committee sought a quitclaim deed for the abandoned old section of roadway. County legal and public-works staff reviewed the request and recommended approving the quitclaim deed.
A motion to accept staff’s recommendation was made and seconded in committee and passed by voice vote without recorded opposition. Staff will execute the quitclaim deed as approved by the committee.
