Auditor General to issue RFQ for Wayne County Commission operational attestation covering 2023–24

Auditor General Marci Koro told the committee the office will issue a request for quotes by the end of the week for an operational attestation audit of the Wayne County Commission.
Koro said the audit is required under Code of Ordinances section 65-8 and will cover the 2023–24 period. Once quotes are received, the Auditor General's Office will evaluate proposals, select a CPA firm and start the engagement after a contract is established.
No vote was required; Koro said the office will notify the commission when a proponent is selected and the engagement begins.
