Commission approves five Public Building Commission appointments; PBC to meet on refinancing

Kevin Cowan of Gilmore & Bell presented a list of proposed appointments to the county’s Public Building Commission (PBC), saying the hospital district led outreach for candidates and provided several names.
"That was mostly, virtually all the hospital districts work," Cowan said, describing how hospital-district representatives supplied candidate names and commitments. County officials moved and seconded a motion to approve five proposed PBC members; the motion carried and the commissioners directed staff to notify the hospital district of the action.
Cowan identified the slate as including a mix of incumbents and replacements; he said one appointment replaces Karen Wenzelberger with a hospital-connected designee. He also said that, if the PBC can meet in the next week or so, the county can stay on schedule to complete refinancing in early June. Dan Dooling was named in the discussion as the prior PBC president and a likely contact to convene the PBC.
