Staff noted this is the final step in the city’s statutory procedure; the ordinance directs the clerk to file required copies with county and state offices and to notify the Board of Elections. Council waived the three‑reading rule and recorded a unanimous vote for adoption.
Ordinance 25‑20: Annexation of approximately 141.8426 acres from Pittsfield Township Council accepted a petition and county transcript to annex about 141.8426 acres (Route 20 development area). City staff said a related petition for other parcels remains in process. Council waived the three‑reading rule and passed the annexation ordinance; the clerk recorded unanimous ayes. The ordinances direct the clerk to file the required maps, transcripts and certificates with Lorain County and the Ohio Secretary of State.
Votes and procedure For each ordinance the council moved to advance on first reading, voted to waive the three‑reading rule, and then adopted the ordinance to take effect immediately where permitted by law.
