The Oberlin City Council unanimously approved a nomination to fill a vacant seat on the Oberlin Public Library Board of Trustees, appointing Megan Sanders Doherty to serve through the end of 2026.
The nomination came from the council’s nominating subcommittee and was presented during the appointments portion of the meeting. Councilmember John English moved to approve the recommendation; Councilmember Jose Lopez seconded. The clerk recorded unanimous aye votes from council members present.
Council and staff offered brief thanks to Ms. Doherty and to the nominating committee. No public comment was recorded on the appointment at the time of the vote.
