Sudbury trustees outline screening plan for library director search; resumes due May 1

The Town of Sudbury Library Trustees discussed a multi-stage process to hire a new library director, including a screening committee to review resumes, first-round interviews to select finalists and final interviews conducted by the town manager and one trustee. Resumes are open through May 1, the trustees said.

Trustees said the proposed process would begin with a screening committee that uses a rubric to narrow applicants from initial resume review to about five or six candidates for first-round interviews, then select two finalists. The town manager and one trustee would conduct final interviews of the finalists, the trustees agreed during the meeting.
