Committee awaiting sustainability coordinator hire; climate vulnerability assessment transferred to town manager

Adam Boerne was identified as the person helping with the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) work; the committee has applied for an extension with the state, and members said Adam would be the contact for follow‑up. The committee also noted outreach and community activities: a Locally Grown event is targeting May 31 with Sustainable Sudbury running a table at the Park and Rec parking lot, and an eighth‑grade civics capstone group is pursuing a solar project as part of their project work.
Members agreed to forward an email about a food waste initiative to committee members and to respond to student and community requests for meetings on short notice. The committee scheduled a June in‑person meeting to work on a project funding decision tree and related scope questions; members said they prefer to meet before summer vacations if possible.
No formal votes on the staffing or the vulnerability assessment were recorded during this meeting; members said they were waiting for formal notice of the sustainability coordinator hire and for the town manager's office to provide updates on the transferred contract.
