Norwalk Police report increased traffic enforcement, raids and accreditation schedule in monthly update

Norwalk Police leaders told the Board of Police Commissioners on Feb. 24 that proactive enforcement increased in January and that unit activity included multiple search warrants and seizures at local businesses.
Deputy Chief Blake reported that the detective bureau opened 28 cases in January and that the special services unit opened 47 cases, including 21 felony arrests and execution of nine search warrants. Officers executed search warrants at the R and R Smoke Shop on Main Street, BP Snacks on Connecticut Avenue, and other retail locations, seizing marijuana and cash, the transcript shows.
