Authority unanimously votes to start lease process for Sono train-station retail space; local taco vendor favored

The Norwalk Parking Authority voted unanimously at its February meeting to start the process required by state law to lease a vacant retail space on the New Haven-bound side of the South Norwalk train station, recommending a proposal from local operator Adrian Hurtado of Tacos Please LLC.
Staff told commissioners that Adrian Hurtado operates Taco Guy (a restaurant and food truck on Wall Street), wants a grab-and-go taco concept for commuters, and is a Norwalk resident. Staff said another proposal from a group planning a brick-oven pizzeria (led by a Vincent Charlotte with partners including members of the Mancuso family) was also under consideration, but the authority recommended the tacos vendor for the space.
