Staff said initial orders were placed to block off the pass‑through door to secure the bay and that some work is already underway.
Commissioners and staff discussed timing: Kubota’s move freed space immediately, and the Carter County Higher Education Center is expected to be ready in mid‑2026, which will vacate current TCAT space. County leaders said they will continue to look for interim and longer‑term shop options and asked building & grounds to coordinate space planning.
