The City Manager reported several operational items at the April 10 Mountlake Terrace City Council meeting. The city announced the community pool will be closed from May 9 through June 30 to allow replacement of the pool liner. The manager said the closure is intended to ensure safety while repairs are completed.
The City Manager also announced the launch of recruitment for a Financial Sustainability Task Force; recruitment opened that day and the manager said the process will close later in the month and the city will bring recommendations to council for appointments. During the report, the manager highlighted recent code-compliance work that improved a location along 66th and said the city is preparing to paint water tanks.
Council did not take formal action on these informational items during the meeting. The City Manager said staff will answer questions and provide updates as projects progress.
