Student representatives highlight theatre, FBLA national qualifiers and spring activities

Student representatives reported several recent and upcoming student activities, including a sold-out spring production, Future Business Leaders of America competition results and senior recognitions.
Student representative Grace said the high school production of Alice by Heart had six nearly sold-out performances and praised teachers and students for the work behind the production. Grace and Faith also announced the High School Drama Club’s showcase and International Thespian Society induction set for April 25 at 7 p.m. at North Hills High School.
Grace reported that 22 North Hills students competed at the FBLA state competition in Hershey and that four students—Jacob Specht, Carter Schramm, William Woodside and Wyatt Lipinski—qualified for national competition in California. She also said four other students placed in the state top 10: Graham Woodside, Eli Dickens, Nina Russo and Kylie Goode. North Hills received school-level recognition, Grace said, including 14 student inductions into the National Business Honor Society and a second-place statewide ranking for fundraising for the American Red Cross.
Other items the student representatives noted included KD Quiz team results advancing to playoffs, a wind ensemble performance scheduled for April 16 at Hill Auditorium at the University of Michigan, and a calendar of senior nights and spring sports recognitions throughout late April and May. They also previewed the Kicking Up for Kids community event and the high school prom ticket deadline.
No board action was required on the reports; the items were presented as informational updates.
