Staff said the county's number reflects assessed acreage and that some differences may be caused by state or federal lands not assessed locally; staff said they would provide source reports and work with municipal assessors to resolve discrepancies going forward.
After discussion, the board voted to approve the equalization report. Commissioners who spoke during the item emphasized that approval carries forward the prior-year reporting and that follow-up work to reconcile acreage or valuation anomalies can occur for the 2026 cycle.
