A large-scale development (LSD2024-038) for a proposed 185-unit multifamily development at 151 West Dixon Street was on the agenda session after having been tabled at a prior commission meeting. Staff reported the applicant provided a revised traffic study and responded to staff comments since the item was last before the commission.
Planner Gretchen said she had no new substantive information beyond the revised traffic study and standard responses to staff comments but that the project had been re-notified to the public because the item was tabled indefinitely at the prior meeting. She reminded the commission that they must first vote to remove the item from the table before proceeding to the staff report and substantive vote.
Commissioners asked whether the Fayetteville Police Department had provided updated comments; staff said police had previously flagged that the higher number of bedrooms and units would likely generate more calls but that police had not given additional specific objections to the project. Staff said they would confirm whether any new police comments had been provided since the revised study was submitted.
No public comments were recorded during the agenda session; staff recommended the commission vote to remove the item from the table at the start of the Monday hearing and then proceed to the staff presentation and deliberation.
