The Franklin City Budget Finance Committee unanimously approved the meeting agenda and the minutes from its March meetings during opening roll-call votes.
Committee Chair called the roll and, after a motion to approve the agenda and a second, the committee recorded yes votes from Alderman Peterson, Alderman Potts and Alderman Baggett, with the chair also voting yes. The committee later moved to approve the minutes from the March 6 and March 20 budget finance committee meetings; that motion also passed on a roll-call vote with the same yes votes recorded.
The approvals were procedural and did not change the status of substantive items on the agenda, including the discussion of appropriations to outside agencies and the general budget presentations scheduled later in the meeting.
No other formal votes were recorded on appropriation requests or program enhancements during the meeting; staff and committee members instead discussed requests and provided guidance for staff recommendations to be included in the proposed budget.
