Student 2, a Hazelwood Middle School student and an eighth-grader who said she had not performed in theater before, said, "I haven't really done theater before. I've been in choir and I've danced, but not theater. And since I'm in eighth grade, I just wanted to go big or go home. So I tried out for Alice because she sings and I love to sing." She added that preparing for the role required research and practice: "It took a lot of hard work. I had to research the show first, then I had to work on a lot of singing and acting. We danced and I practiced my dances a lot. But it was no small feat to get the role."

Student 3, a Hazelwood Middle School student, said the production is accessible to families: "This is perfect for all ages. People know the story of Alice in Wonderland, And I think that the way that our kiddos have, you know, portrayed their characters, I think that the audience is really gonna enjoy seeing how unique an individual this show is."
