Biloxi council approves routine items, amends facility rental rules and records consent agenda actions

The Biloxi City Council approved several routine and procedural measures during the meeting, including an ordinance change to simplify facility rental fee entries, multiple consent resolutions and a docket of claims.

Ordinance amendment: Council adopted an amendment to the municipal facilities ordinance that adjusts how multi-day rental rates are entered so they can be processed in the city’s online system. The consent agenda passed on a 5–0 vote; two council members were out of the room during that vote and were recorded as absent. Council also approved a motion earlier in the meeting to amend the agenda to add the above items (vote 7–0).

Proclamations: Mayor read a proclamation designating March as Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month for Mississippi and Biloxi; the proclamation was entered into the record.

Other procedural actions: The council voted to suspend rules on procedural items earlier in the meeting (7–0). The council adjourned following routine business.
