Commission reviews parking variance at 1101 North Congress for Boynton Beach Promenade expansion

City planning staff told commissioners that an applicant is proposing to add a roughly 8,000-square-foot second floor to an existing 15,000-square-foot building at 1101 North Congress, the project branded in reports as the Boynton Beach Promenade.

The addition would create medical-office space (the applicant described the use as a dermatology practice). Because the parcel cannot accommodate the additional required parking, the applicant asked for a parking-variance relief in the neighborhood of 49 spaces, staff said.
