- Facility rental fee increase: Staff proposed updated rental rates for county facilities based on a comparison with neighboring jurisdictions and rising operating costs. The board approved new rates to take effect for new reservations beginning in June 2025; reservations already made remain at prior rates.
- Public hearing set for Daring Circle rezoning: The board set a public hearing in May 2025 to initiate rezoning of a parcel on Daring Circle (tax parcel 0485031023) from R‑2 (multifamily residential) to RC (rural conservation) to allow a single‑family dwelling.
- Supplemental agreement for Tommy Lee Cook Road design services: The board approved Supplemental Agreement No. 3 to add design of a left‑turn lane at the Cedar Ridge intersection to an existing design contract; the developer is expected to pay the $55,000 design cost.
- Memorandum of agreement with GDOT for Happy Valley Circle bridge replacement: The board approved an MOA with the Georgia Department of Transportation for a bridge replacement on Happy Valley Circle over Browns Creek; the county’s contribution to right‑of‑way acquisition was limited to $50,000.
- Quick claim deed for Grayson Trail: The board authorized a quitclaim deed to convey previously abandoned right‑of‑way on Grayson Trail to adjacent property owners; the county said the road was effectively abandoned in 1997 and was never deeded to neighbors.
- Temporary closure of Bob Wilson Road: The board approved a temporary closure to replace a short bridge on Bob Wilson Road; staff said the bridge will be prefabricated and set in place to reduce onsite work time. Fire department coordination was discussed to ensure emergency access.
- Replace privately owned signs in Shenandoah with county‑maintained signs: At the request of the homeowners association, the county agreed to replace vinyl decorative signs in the Shenandoah community with standard county signs; the HOA agreed to pay the $7,544 cost.
- Supplemental purchase of storm‑drain materials for Southwest Connector: The board approved county purchase of pipe materials for the Southwest Connector project to obtain lower unit pricing (see separate article).
Most items were approved by motion, second and unanimous voice vote; where county staff recommended contingencies (for example, revised bid bonds and insurance certificates for the Southwest Connector contract) the board made final execution contingent on staff receipt of the required documents.
