Council approves 10‑year Roswell Air Center lease for Hangar 85 and Building 240

The City Council authorized a 10‑year lease agreement for Hangar 85 and Building 240 at the Roswell Air Center at its April 10 meeting.

Councilor Hildebrand moved to approve the lease; the motion was seconded and staff explained a corrected lease had been distributed at the dais because the original packet contained the wrong document. Planning and legal staff had reviewed the corrected lease for the record and the legal committee had recommended approval at its March 27 meeting, staff said.

Under terms announced in the meeting, Hangar 85 carries an annual sum (presented by staff) and Building 240 carries a stated annual sum (figures provided in the staff presentation); staff said the leases included standard terms for airport tenants and that any mistaken packet upload had been corrected before the vote. The council approved the lease by voice vote.
