Commissioners Delgado, Turner and Martinez volunteered to serve on that committee and were listed by the chair as the three-member group that will coordinate building-related items and report back to the full commission.
On a separate, formal motion the commission approved producing a large (suggested 20-by-30) printed rendering of the proposed clubhouse to display in the existing clubhouse and to offer to patrons. The motion also included a staff action to add clear website directions for members of the public to make donations toward the clubhouse. The motion was seconded, carried by voice vote, and the chair declared the ayes had it.
Commissioners said the display and donation information were intended to build interest and solicit contributions; no dollar target or fundraising timeline was set. The commission also received a copy of a letter from the mayor describing a code of conduct for boards and commissions; commissioners acknowledged receipt and no action was taken on that letter during the meeting.
The meeting closed with a routine motion to adjourn; the motion passed and the commission noted its next meeting date as May 8.
