New West Colorado River Watershed Council outlines mapping tool, project inventory and representation gaps

Cody Allred, the state representative for the West Colorado River Watershed Council, told the Utah Watersheds Council State Council that the new council has been certified, has elected officers and is building a project inventory and an interactive base map to help manage a geographically large and diverse basin.
Allred said the council’s first meeting was in June and that the group has convened several times since certification in July. "Our very first meeting was last June, where we had the opportunity to, you know, establish our council and, get our organizing documents in order," Allred said. He said the council currently has about 20 members and one vacancy and has elected co-chairs to improve north–south representation.
