Indian Head Park to outsource vehicle-sticker renewals; mailed notices, online renewals to begin

Village Administrator Gavin Morgan told trustees on April 10 that Indian Head Park is outsourcing the vehicle-sticker renewal process to Third Millennium, the same vendor used for water billing. Residents whose vehicles are registered to village addresses will receive a renewal application in the mail after April 15, Morgan said.
The mailed notice will include a tear-off form for return by mail; residents may also use a vehicle ID number and license-plate information on the notice to renew and pay online. Third Millennium will mail vehicle stickers after May 1 for those processed through the vendor; in-person sales at Village Hall will also begin May 1.
"As soon as folks receive this renewal notice in the mail, they may go on and renew online," Morgan said, describing the dual mail/online option. Morgan added that the vendor will prefill renewal forms from the village's existing database to simplify future renewals. Village staff are also discussing the possibility of email renewal notices in future cycles but said Third Millennium does not currently send renewal notices by email because of address changes and delivery issues.
Trustees and staff said the goal is to make the process more efficient for residents and village staff. The village will publicize the rollout via website, a Facebook post, signs with QR codes and a banner at the Heritage Center.
