Dalhart council approves alcohol service at Thunder over Dalhart airshow under TABC rules

The council moved and seconded a motion to grant permission; the council voted in favor and recorded no opposition during the roll call. The motion did not include additional local restrictions beyond those required by TABC.
No public safety incidents from past airshows were reported during the discussion. When asked whether there were problems two years ago, a speaker replied, “No. No. Okay. I hadn't heard of any either.” The council did not add new conditions beyond requiring compliance with state alcohol regulations.
The council’s action allows event organizers to proceed with alcohol service plans while remaining subject to state licensing and any standard city permitting requirements for events on city property.
