During the public hearing the owner (represented at the meeting) said the parcel includes his son‑in‑law’s home and that the replat was intended to keep the property in the family. After closing the public hearing, Commissioner Hayes moved to approve the replat; Commissioner Bachman seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
The staff recommendation and the commission’s approval will allow subdivision of the recorded reserve tract noted in Brazoria County plat file 2024017236; the commission did not record additional conditions in the meeting minutes.
