Canal Fulton — City events coordinator Chris Bundy presented the planned lineup for the 2025 summer concert series and related community events during the council meeting.
Bundy said the concert series will feature six headliner weekends on Friday nights, beginning June 6 with a Johnny Cash tribute (Terry McGoffy), June 20 with a Beatles tribute (Hard Day’s Night), July 11 with Disco Inferno, July 18 with a Bon Jovi tribute (Wanted), August 1 with a Neil Diamond tribute, and concluding August 15 with a Pearl Jam tribute (10 Band). Bundy also outlined two movie-in-the-park nights (anticipated June 13 and August 8) and noted events will avoid conflicts with Canal Days and nearby festivals.
Bundy said he is coordinating with the library for movie nights and is continuing contract negotiations with bands. He described the father–daughter dance scheduled for February 1 (15 tickets sold to date) and a mother–son activity slated for March 1. The city will continue fundraising and sponsorship efforts to offset concert costs; staff read a $28,000 concert-series purchase order into the record and said the goal is for donations to cover the program budget.
Council members expressed appreciation for the programming and had no objections to scheduling as presented. Staff said they will continue to finalize contracts and sponsorships and will report back if any material changes are required.
