Following executive session, the city council approved an employment agreement to hire Kimberly Meeks as city manager. The agreement presented to council included minor typographical corrections and one substantive edit: instead of providing a city phone, the agreement will provide a cell‑phone allowance consistent with city policy.
City Attorney Lee Ream told council the agreement in the packet captures the terms agreed with the candidate and recommended approval subject to the small edits discussed in executive session. Council member Hageman made a motion to approve the agreement and Councilman Corbell seconded; the council voted to approve the employment agreement.
The city manager position’s final employment documents and implementation steps will be handled by the city attorney and staff according to the terms approved by council.
