Council approves development agreement with MPX Group LLC for proposed manufacturing site adjacent to Mount Pleasant

After returning from executive session, the Mount Pleasant City Council voted unanimously to approve a corrected development agreement between the Mount Pleasant Economic Development Corporation (MPDC) and MPX Group LLC concerning a proposed manufacturing facility on land adjacent to the city and proposed for annexation.

“Council, if we had a chance, to, come out and make a vote on this item, I'm opening the floor for a motion,” the mayor said upon reconvening. Council member Hackman moved to approve the corrected MPDC agreement with MPX; Council member Redford seconded the motion.
