Summary
Council unanimously approved Resolution 2025-1 providing a council resolution of support for Mount Pleasant Trails, a proposed 52-unit affordable senior (55+) rental development seeking federal low-income housing tax credits administered by the state.
The Mount Pleasant City Council voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 2025-1, a letter of support for Mount Pleasant Trails, a proposed affordable rental senior housing project that will seek Low-Income Housing Tax Credits administered by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
Michael Fogle, principal with Trinity Housing Development, told the council the proposal is for a three-story, 52‑unit building on a 4.3-acre site on Tennyson Road just south of Walmart and east of Cypress Creek Apartments. He described the project as a senior development limited to residents 55 and older and said the site has been zoned for multifamily since 2021.
