Palm View schedules Feb. 8 town hall on designated heavy‑truck routes

City Manager Michael Leo told the Palm View City Council that the city will hold a public town hall on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. in the Parks and Recreation gym to discuss an ordinance establishing designated routes for heavy trucks and the broader issue of truck traffic in residential neighborhoods.

Leo said the town hall is open to the public and that the city had agreed to schedule the meeting in response to previous public comment and attendance from the local trucking community at an earlier council meeting. The announcement asked residents and stakeholders to monitor the city’s posted information and to attend to offer input.

The meeting will focus on the draft ordinance for designated truck routes and give residents and trucking stakeholders an opportunity to ask questions and propose routing considerations. Leo noted the city had sought a larger space (the Parks and Rec gym) to accommodate anticipated attendance and confirmed the session is open to all residents and interested parties.
