Applicant withdraws appeals for two auto‑spa cases; Board signs prior variance orders

Longmore said the applicant would also withdraw the related variance request because it "related to that denial of the concept site plan by the planning commission," and that he had "confirmed that with the board's attorney and the county attorney."
Board attorney Steve Scott confirmed the withdrawal did not require a motion, saying, "We have a voluntary withdrawal by the applicant so we are fine." Chairman George Allen Hayden Sr. and members acknowledged the withdrawal and moved on to routine business.
The board approved several administrative items and signed previously prepared orders. The meeting record shows a five‑zero vote to approve one variance that would disturb a 100‑foot critical area buffer to replace a patio and deck, and a four‑one vote approving a variance to exceed lot‑coverage limits for an addition and to add a guest quarters (with Ronald Payne recorded as voting to deny). The board also approved meeting minutes and signed orders with a clerical correction noted by a member.
The board listed one case on the April 24 meeting agenda; member Rita Weaver is excused that night and alternate Donald LaRocco will serve in her place. The board did not take further action on the withdrawn appeals at the April 10 meeting.
