Tim Williams sworn in as interim director of public services and safety for St. Bernard

Mayor Stutchell introduced Williams at the council meeting and administered the oath of office. "I am very excited about his level of experience that he brings to Saint Bernard and I look forward to working with him as he guides us through this transitional period," the mayor said while asking Williams to raise his right hand for the swearing-in.
Williams repeated the oath and was acknowledged by the mayor and council. "Thank you," Williams said after the oath.
Council members later thanked the departing director (Tim Wortman) for prior contributions. Council member Edwards noted that Wortman's experience "from insurance to vehicle leasing saved our village money" and said he expects the interim period under Williams to be smooth.
Williams will serve in an interim capacity while the village seeks a permanent director. The council did not set a public timeline for a permanent hire at the March 27 meeting.
