The Provo City Council took the following recorded actions at its April 8 meeting. Vote tallies reflect roll-call announcements given on the record.
- Fire department appropriation: Resolution appropriating $383,532 in the general fund for fire department needs (paramedic training, turnout gear, AED replacement, automated CPR devices). Vote: 6–0 (Councilors Becky Bogdan, Greg Christiansen, Gary Garrett, George Hanley, Katrice McKay, Rachel Whipple voted yes; Councilor Travis Hoban excused).
- Transfer to insurance and claims fund: Resolution authorizing transfer of $1,000,000 from the general fund to the insurance and claims fund. Vote: 6–0 (Bogdan, Christiansen, Garrett, Hanley, McKay, Whipple yes; Hoban excused).
- Interlocal election agreement: Resolution authorizing the mayor to execute an interlocal agreement with Utah County to conduct vote-by-mail municipal primary and general elections. Vote: 6–0 (Bogdan, Christiansen, Garrett, Hanley, McKay, Whipple yes; Hoban excused).
- Slate Canyon Public Infrastructure District: Implied motion to approve PID governing documents and formation of Slate Canyon PID (see separate coverage). Vote: 5–1 (Whipple, Christiansen, Garrett, McKay, Hanley yes; Bogdan no; Hoban excused).
- Rezoning at 3410 West Center Street: Ordinance amending the zoning map from A-1/10 to Airport Industrial with a substituted development-agreement amendment requiring a 50-foot buffer from the river top-of-bank with no structures or parking stalls. Vote on substitute (and ordinance as amended): 5–1 (McKay, Whipple, Bogdan, Christiansen, Garrett yes; Hanley no; Hoban excused).
- Data centers in airport zones: Implied motion to amend Provo City code to list data centers as a permitted use in airport industrial zones (as proposed) — motion failed 0–6 (Bogdan, Christiansen, Garrett, Hanley, McKay, Whipple voted no; Hoban excused).
