Staff to return March 4 with expanded Magnolia Village/Salina Destination Project materials

Staff said the March 4 packet will include more illustrations and blown-up details: 3-D views of unit spacing, sidewalks, landscaping, sightlines from Magnolia Road and views of front entry gates. The packet previously provided information on perimeter-street improvements, but staff emphasized the planning commission would not necessarily be voting on the Magnolia Road design shown; those street-improvement illustrations were provided for informational context.
Staff said prior commissioner comments from the February 4 meeting were incorporated into follow-up meetings with the applicant and that the March 4 materials will address commissioners’ questions about unit layout and streetscape details. No formal action was taken Tuesday; the item will be placed on the March 4 agenda for commission consideration.
