Dickson County planning commission approves Harris and Robertson subdivision final plat

At its April 10 meeting the Dickson County Planning Commission approved the final plat for the Harris and Robertson subdivision (tax map 48, parcel 8.02), confirming a six-lot layout on about 8.04 acres in an A-1 agricultural zone; the preliminary plat had been approved Dec. 8, 2022, and vested rights run through Dec. 8, 2025.
The Dickson County Planning Commission on April 10 approved the final plat for the Harris and Robertson subdivision, a six-lot division of approximately 8.04 acres on Highway 49 West in Van Leer in the First District.
The commission’s chair, Robert Qualls, said the subdivision had come through the required review and moved the item into a voice vote: “Those in favor signify by saying aye.” The chair declared the motion approved.
The preliminary plat for the property was approved on Dec. 8, 2022. Planning staff told commissioners that the applicant holds vested rights tied to that preliminary approval that extend through Dec. 8, 2025; if the final plat were not recorded by that date, the project would need to meet current regulations.
Brown Land Surveying prepared the final plat, which the commission recorded as submitted. Planning staff reported no corrective comments on the plan during the meeting.
Also during the meeting the commission approved the minutes from a prior session by voice vote.
The commission did not attach conditions beyond those already reflected in the submitted final plat. Commissioners who moved and seconded the motion recorded no roll-call vote in the transcript; the chair announced the ayes had it.
