Council finalizes retreat facilitator and launches housing newsletter

County staff told the Regional Housing Council that the retreat planning is moving forward and that Amy Leneker has been contracted to facilitate the retreat scheduled for May 30. Staff said Amy is conducting one 45-minute interview with each jurisdiction (two to three participants per jurisdiction) plus one joint advisory-board interview to inform the retreat agenda.
"We have signed a contract with Amy Leneker to serve as our facilitator," a county staff member said. Staff asked jurisdictions to schedule interviews within the next week or 10 days so the retreat committee could meet with the facilitator and finalize an agenda in early May.
Communications staff also presented the RHC's 2024 report and announced a new quarterly Regional Housing Council newsletter. The first issue posted this quarter had an open rate of about 42%, higher than the industry average staff cited. The newsletter will run quarterly, with spring, summer, fall and winter issues and an online archive and sign-up button on the RHC page.
Staff asked council members to submit common constituent questions that could be used in a "Housing Defined" educational section of future newsletters. The retreat and communications updates were presented as informational items and did not require council action.
