The Cheyenne Public Services Committee voted to recommend that City Council approve an ordinance on third and final reading to rezone land southwest of the intersection of Wildbluff and Ogden Road from MR (medium-density residential) to NR-2 (neighborhood residential, medium density).
Counter White of the Planning and Development Department told the committee the NR-2 designation "would help facilitate a new development" and noted a plat with smaller lot sizes was expected before the Planning Commission the same evening. Randy Will of Horizon Development identified the project address as 506 Shoshone and said he was available to answer questions.
There was no public comment on the item. A committee member moved to approve on third and final reading; another committee member seconded. The committee voiced its approval and the recommendation to approve will go to the full City Council on Monday night.
The change would allow the applicant to proceed with a smaller-lot plat under NR-2 standards; staff reported no further updates. The action taken at the committee is a recommendation to City Council, not a final council adoption.
