Staff told commissioners the project has undergone extensive review through the Development Review Team (DRT), with ongoing coordination between the developer and city staff during an eight‑month review period. Commissioners held a public hearing; no members of the public spoke.
One commissioner asked whether the consolidation would return to the commission if the developer pursued future residential units; staff said the intended residential uses would be by‑right but that specific multi‑unit proposals would require conditional‑use review as appropriate. The commission approved the preliminary consolidation plat (stated as PP2025‑011 in the packet) and the final plat (FP2025‑RISE Auburn consolidation) on affirmative votes.
