DELTA, UTAH — Enbridge Gas Utah presented results of its Therm H2 hydrogen‑blending pilot, reporting completion of phase‑1 residential appliance testing and phase‑2 electrolyzer operation in Delta and asserting that 5% hydrogen blends performed without detectable appliance or leak‑survey concerns in the tested network segments.
Alyssa Whelan, Enbridge Gas Utah, described phase‑1 tests at a company training village and phase‑2 field work in Delta, which included placing an electrolyzer on site and producing hydrogen on demand to blend up to 5% with natural gas. Whelan said the project performed operational tasks without storing hydrogen on site and that safety and appliance testing “tested very nicely.”
