NORWALK — The Norwalk Common Council’s Finance and Claims Committee voted unanimously on several items at its April 10, 2025 meeting and forwarded them to the full council for final review.
The committee approved acceptance of minutes from its March 20, 2025 special meeting by a unanimous voice/hand vote. It also approved the Claims Committee report for April 2025, which included a single refund over the $10,000 threshold for $31,727.90, and moved that item to the full council for final approval on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
The committee appointed CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) as external auditors for fiscal year 2025 under a five‑year engagement and approved moving the contract language including the dollar amount to the full council for final action. Committee members also approved the Parking Authority and the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) fiscal year 2025–26 budgets and directed those items to the full council agenda on April 22, 2025.
All votes recorded during the meeting were unanimous by a show of hands. Where vote tallies were not recorded by name in the meeting transcript, the committee recorded the outcomes as unanimous and forwarded the items for final council approval.
The committee took no final action on the Oak Hills Park Authority monthly financial statement; that report was tabled until May.
