A commissioner also questioned an office purchase of high-back chairs for the treasurer's office, noting the county could have obtained similar chairs online for roughly $120 less per chair and urging staff to shop for lower prices when practicable.
County staff committed to checking the public-defender billing and to returning with clarifications at the next business day.
