St John council approves Andrews Technology agreement to automate town timekeeping

The presenter said Andrews provides 24/7/365 support and “we never outsource our support,” and added that the company offers unlimited training and automatic software updates every six to eight weeks.
Council members and staff asked how the software would interface with the town’s payroll. The presenter said the product exports a single CSV interface file compatible with Keystone payroll and supports a bidirectional sync if the town provides an SFTP site to update new-hire demographics. The presenter also noted UKG Ready supports mobile punches, time clocks, geofencing and labor/job tracking for employees who work on different job codes.
Town staff said the new system was vetted by individual departments, and public works and public safety were cited as areas likely to see the greatest time savings because those departments currently require more manual payroll calculation. The town also noted Keystone’s recent acquisition by BSNA Technologies and said the chosen vendor’s bridge works with both products.
Councilor comments during the meeting emphasized reducing manual payroll work and eliminating human error; no council member expressed opposition at the vote.
The council’s approved agreement with Andrews Technology is intended to centralize timekeeping across departments, automate export to payroll, and provide supervisors with approval workflows and reporting tools. Specific contract pricing and the approved contract’s start date were not specified in the meeting record.
