Commissioners approve $1.09 million federal Homeland Security grant for South Central regional task force

County Solicitor Matt Yugely presented a program agreement tied to the State Homeland Security Grant on behalf of Bob Dowd and said the funding supports the South Central Counterterrorism Task Force, of which Lebanon County is a participating county.
Yugely said the allocation covers performance through 2024–2027 and that funds must be obligated no later than 120 days before the performance period ends (August 1, 2027). The grant supports regional priorities including election security, cybersecurity, regional training exercises and emergency communications, Yugely said. The grant amount listed in the packet is $1,086,766.
Commissioners voted to approve the program agreement and accept the funding.
