Laurie White Ash used the public comment period to dispute personnel actions she said have led to memos of counsel and a termination recommendation.
White Ash said she was hired on Dec. 14, 2023, as a building aide, later passed a TA test and was offered a promotion on April 3 but declined it to maintain a 1-on-1 assignment. During her allotted three minutes she said she worked in the extended school year program and described her efforts to follow the district’s mission and values. She said she believes the disciplinary memos and the termination recommendation are false and discriminatory and asked the board to review folders of documents she had provided to each board member.
Board leadership reminded White Ash that public comment must avoid personnel specifics; after the reminder the speaker concluded by asking the Board to review the materials she left with trustees.
The Board did not discuss or act on the speaker’s request during the meeting’s public-comment segment.
